The Sonshine Girls - Ladies Bible Study
Facilitated by Michele Gianino, this group meets every Wednesday morning 9:00am-10:00am in the Fellowship Hall.
The study focus for Fall 2024 is TBD. This women’s Bible Study group has learned that through their small group fellowship, we create friendships, prayer partners, and support for a happier, fuller life in Christ.
Saturday Morning "Uplifters" Women's Bible Study
Facilitated by Mitzie Hoeh, meets Saturday Mornings at 7:00 am in
the Narthex.
Current book study is, “The
God I Never Knew” by Robert Morris. This is a new women’s group and may still have room for a few more ladies.
The group's focus Scripture is
1 Thessalonians 5:11: "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
Girls of Gratitude Small Group
This Ladies Bible Study Group meets every other Wednesday and is currently studying, "Women of the Bible" by Ann Spangler & Jean E. Syswerda. This ladies’ group is currently full.
The group is made up of a handful of ladies that wanted to an intimate group of women to seek a greater relationship with the Trinity, and to study God’s word and His ways. It doesn’t take a large organized group to start a study and you don’t need to be a Bible scholar to study God’s Word together. You just need to start.
Bible Study for Busy Women Group
BEGINS NOVEMBER 7TH, 2024
This group will meet on Thursdays at 7:00pm, beginning November 7th, in the Fellowship Hall. The focus will be based on Priscilla Shirer’s study, “Breath” (making room for the Sabbath). There will be a video and discussion and it will last approximately 1-½ hours.
The facilitator will do the homework and the group can go through the workbook as much or as little as they have time for throughout the week. Evenings will begin with prayer and one song of worship, then play the video and work through the
discussion. The study will provide fellowship for busy women to build relationships as well as grow in their faith.
Secret Sisters
Facilitated by Barb Jordan.
If you would like to join this group, please fill out a form (Provided by Barb and at the Welcome Center) with a little information about yourself and you will be placed into the mix.
Secret Sisters pray for each other, send an occasional greeting card and may also leave a little gift. Barb hosts two gatherings a year for the Secret Sisters; one gathering in the summer/fall and one the first week of December, when names of the secret sisters are revealed! Barb hosts amazing gatherings with singing, games, lots of laughs and giggles, exchange of gifts and cookies; a really wonderful day with the girls. Gaylord Methodist Women
GMW warmly extends an invitation of membership to the woman of our congregation who finds meaning in her church and is drawn to combine fellowship with study, worship and outreach opportunities. To the woman who feels she has gifts that are to be shared, who seeks a supportive community and has a commitment to God. Members may participate in one of three monthly circle groups, (Faith Circle, Hope Circle, Margueretta Circle), monthly meetings, enjoying fellowship and Bible Study. Members also experience Faith in action by engaging in annual activities: Call to Prayer and Self Denial, March Soup Lunches, White Breakfast, Lavender Dinner, Alpenfest Lunches, Holiday House Bazaar, Pasty Sale. All financial proceeds are given to support global, national, state and local missions. Still not sure you want to join? Come and experience each of the Circles—kick the tires so to speak.
We are happy to pair you up with a Circle member for meetings or you can simply attend and participate.
Circle Group Meetings will Resume Fall 2024
- The GMW Unit meets at 1:00pm the first Tuesday of the Month.
- Hope Circle meets at 1:00pm, the Second Tuesday of the month.
- The Faith Circle meets at 1:00pm, third Tuesday of the month..
- Margueretta Circle meets at 7:00pm, the second Tuesday of the month.
